After having to delay the celebration for a day due to bad weather conditions, we held our annual celebration of Hrafnkelssaga Freysgoði on Sunday, August 4th with a total of 53 participants. Some of our guests started their day with the bus trip following the saga trails of Hrafnkell Freysgoði, stopping along the way and listening to the interesting tails of Páll Pálsson from Aðalból. Then at Aðalból in Hrafnkelsdalur, all of our guests had the opportunity to participate in fun activities such as games, sports, dancing, card-weaving, needle-binding, and making iron, as well as eating all their stomachs could handle of grilled horse steaks and more. Despite the cold, guests had great fun and we thank them as well as our supporters and those who helped out to make the day a success once again. A few pictures may be seen under the tab above named Hrafnkelsdagur 2013.
